I've had the basic structure of this tune since right around the time I was finishing Noisewater. The original impetus for the song was that I wanted to write something that had a similar groove to "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" and "Silly Love Songs," with a slight hint of island music influence tucked in there. After spending the last week on the beaches of Hawaii, it seemed like the perfect song to release this week. Here's "Morning Time Through."
