about

Here's one that I never saw would see the light of day from the LUZER era. We originally tracked this song for the Reset album, though when I realized my pronunciation of "Aishiteru" (Japanese for love) was wrong, I abandoned the song. (In fact, there's a little nod to the song on the cover in a banner of the word in Japanese hanging on the wall). The next year it came up again, but I decided to rework the melody and completely start from scratch on the lyrics. It became the song "Give Me A Sign," included on the Come On Mandy EP.

This original version has sat unheard for over ten years though. Despite the mispronunciation, and the song really being in too low of a key for my vocals, I still thought it was worth seeing the light of day, particularly because of the great Fender Rhodes guest performance by our old pal Jeremy Dyen formerly of the Philadelphia band Blivit.
