Coming off of the big release of Part I of A Tale From The Other Side last week, here is a short ditty from Part II, but possibly my favorite track on the entire album.

“World -1” takes its name from a glitch in the original NES Super Mario Bros game. Since I was 5 years old, I heard rumors of a secret level known only as…THE MINUS WORLD!

I honestly didn’t believe it existed. And then, one day well over a decade later…I did it! I entered the Minus World, and it was glorious!

The song began as “I’m Lost In Another World,” but once I changed it to “Minus World,” the song just flowed out. How you hear it on the album, is pretty much identical to the first demo.

“World -1” spelled out like it is in the game also has a bit of a double meaning in the context of the story.

So though it’s short, it really kicks off the climax of the album and is one of my favorites. Here is “World -1,” your first glimpse into Part II of ATFTOS for this Friday’s Noisewater Release Of The Week!
