Here's another one from the archives. I spent the last two weeks back east playing in The Mahoney Brothers' "Jukebox Heroes Live!" show, and we did a few Rick Nelson tunes for the first time in years. That got me thinking about Adam Waltemire from Pop Garden Radio's Rick Nelson tribute album. When Adam approached me about the project, I had two ideas for arrangements for songs. The first was a re-imagining of "Teenage Idol" (which eventually led off the album), and the second was a piano/fuzz bass/drums Ben Folds Five-esque version of "The Very Thought Of You." I recorded them both, but in the end we decided to use "Teenage Idol" for the record. Here, seeing the light of day for the first time ever, is "The Very Thought Of You", the "lost" song from Pop Garden Radio's "Legacy - A Tribute To Rick Nelson"!
